Watch your spot on the leaderboard rise as you battle it out with your fellow writers. We'll have community writing sprints, workshops, and more to keep you motivated.
The best part? It's absolutely free.
Note: You do not need a Freewrite to participate. Simply create a free Postbox account and write with our free app, Sprinter. (opens in a new tab)
Want to purchase a Freewrite for the challenge? Get $50 off Alpha (opens in a new tab), Traveler (opens in a new tab), or Smart Typewriter (opens in a new tab) with code NOVELWRIMO26 at checkout on getfreewrite.com.
How this works
Write 50,000 words between November 1 and November 30, 2026.
- Every word you write in those 30 days counts, on any Freewrite device, in Sprinter, or in Postbox. There's no daily minimum.
- Days run midnight to midnight in your time zone.
- Your pen name and word count show on the leaderboard while you're in it. You can leave any time before it ends.
